Impossible
By Noella Choi
Markham, Ontario

This is one of my more personal songs. Usually, I write the music first and weeks, sometimes months later, the lyrics would form. This song was an exception. I wrote it in 3 days which is quite fast for a perfectionist like myself. Writing this was also quite therapeutic as I was able to get some words off my chest. The song did start out acoustically, but quickly became an “angry rock song” when I found the groove which begins the song.

It is on my Debut CD, “Restless” and a re-recorded version Produced by Darryl Neudorf in on my 2nd Album, “In My Elements,”

Lyrics

I have told you many times
Why can't you listen when I say?
You just go on spinning your stories Like a broken record
Playing all day long. Can't you sing another song?
I have tried so many times
But you get angry easily.
And amid all the frustration
Well we say things we know
We don't mean to say.
But we say it anyway.

CHORUS:
(Are you listening?)
I, oh, I feel I've disappeared.
Now I don't know where to go from here.
Why do you make it?
Why do you make it
So Impossible? Impossible To love you.
Now we're sitting here in silence wondering how it got this far.
We could feed ourselves the lies
We tell each other
But we know we are both to blame.
Things are not the same.

[repeat CHORUS]

[solo]

[repeat CHORUS]

To love you now.
I have have told you many times now
"I love you."
