What does "Chinese Canadian" mean? Through the art of story telling, poetry and writing of all forms, young writers inquire, answer and revisit this question and other related issues. The Youth Anthology includes personal stories of language classes to intricate narratives on cross-generational and intercultural experiences.

 
 
Sisters

Day’s Lee was born in Montreal.  She is a graduate from Concordia University’s Journalism program and a recipient of a grant from the Conseil des arts et des letters du Québec.  Her short stories have been published in anthologies and magazines, several of which were short-listed in contests.  Her first children’s book “The Fragrant Garden” will be published in the fall of 2005 by Napoleon Publishing.  She is currently a freelance writer and is working on her first novel.

 
Skating Over My Heart

Terry Woo is a Banana Boy.  He was born in Hamilton, Ontario, and currently resides in Toronto, Ontario.  His first novel, Banana Boys (www.bananaboys.com), was published in October 2000 by Cormorant Books.  His stories have also appeared in such anthologies as "Millenium Messages:  An Anthology of New Asian Canadian Expressions", and "Strike The Wok:  An Anthology of Contemporary Chinese Canadian Fiction".  He is currently in Journalism school at Ryerson University, and is kind of working on his second novel.
