Andrew Chiu was born in Hong Kong a very long time ago.  At age six, he moved to Canada with his family to escape the inevitable takeover by the reds.  Drawing since he can remember, he is currently studying in the York University and Sheridan Institute Joint Program in Design.  His multidiscplinary approach has resulted in freelance gigs involving typographic consulting, film title design, visual effects, magazine degign, and interior design.  He currently resides on Earth and is one half of Coffee & TV a Toronto-based fashion company.

Being born in Hong Kong and moving to Canada at such a young age has been a big factor in how I see things. Having to fit in and learn the language, while at the same time keep up with the Chinese tradition makes for a unique life experience.  Those who never had such displacement cannot know what it feels like, or what it does to you.  I see this as a very formative part of my being, with its effects so complext that I can't barely begin to fathom.
